Workplace Exposure Assessments
XRF Research performs workplace exposure assessments for chemical, physical, and particulate hazards. These projects help employers, contractors, facility managers, and consultants understand what workers may be exposed to and whether additional controls or documentation are warranted.
Exposure assessment is not one-size-fits-all. The sampling plan depends on the substance, task, duration, worker group, controls in place, and reason the data is needed.
Examples of Exposure Assessment Work
- Air monitoring for dust, silica, lead, solvents, formaldehyde, gases, vapors, or other workplace contaminants
- Task-based assessment during construction, demolition, manufacturing, maintenance, or cleanup
- Personal breathing-zone sampling for employees or representative exposure groups
- Area monitoring to document workplace or project conditions
- Review of work practices, ventilation, isolation, PPE, and practical control options
How to Start
Send us the work location, process description, materials used, safety data sheets if available, number of workers, shift length, and the reason for the assessment. We can help turn that information into a practical monitoring plan.
